      From all my travels around the world over past 20+ years, I would say coffee tastes best when you travel to the region where it is grown. Majority of continents have great coffee growing regions; ofc Starbucks serves the worst coffee.

        I agree with that Starbucks coffee is expensive and quite ordinary, I have been to Melbourne,  people there have strong coffee culture, lots of small coffeeteria on street corners serving breakfast and brunch only. Most of them source, blend their coffee beans and do the roasting themselves so that the coffee they brew are good and unique which attract loyal customers. Melbourne also  has many coffee blenders provide classes on roasting and blending of coffee and the appreciation of coffee as well.

        all that consider, they are still cheaper than Starbucks or Pacific coffee there

        Personally, I think Sydney is very similar but not as profound as Melbourne.
